Why are we talking about Remco vs Jonas here? Couldn't we get back to the route?

I heard confusing rumours about Madonna di Campiglio or Andalo. What is the recent standpoint there? And any ideas which stage could be the third big one? Normally the Giro has three 5-star stages, with Piani di Pezzé and Carí (rumours with Lukmanierpass - Oberalbpass - Gotthardpass) the two likeliest options. Depends now how the potential Aosta stage or the stage towards Blockhaus are designed. Or do I miss one out?

Last rumours confirm that there will be a stage with finish in Andalo. The third 5 star stage should be Aosta. Verbania won't be a 5 star stage.

"And according to Het Laatste Nieuws, there will be a long time trial at the Corsa Rosa, potentially up to 40 kilometers long."

LOL! 40 kms of ITT is considered a "long time trial".

Modern cycling is an absolute joke. WTF.

that's an intermediate TT, but along the lines of what the giro has usually done. Every few years, you'd see a longer TT of over 50km, but that was the exception

Giro used to the the climbing GT, with the tour and vuelta being for more all arounders, until Prudhomme decided to let Gouvenou and Guillen run amok.

Today, the giro, which hasn't changed all that much, is considered the all around GT, which is a joke

I refuse to believe that the Swiss stage will be using either of the Gotthardpass, Furkapass or Nufenenpass. Given the farce of the Swiss stages in 2023 and 2024, I can't see them risking using such high passes in Switzerland. Also, I can't see them having a Cima Coppi outside Italy.
I'll probably be something very meh like 2 laps of Cari.

Fermo - that is more or less the pinnacle of murito country. Could we see a stage that finish with at least a couple of ascents of the very steep muritos surrounding Fermo?

They could even go to the top, but I doubt that would work logistically. This would also be on a Saturday, so a decent hilly stage would work.
