Comfortably the best route any of the women's GT equivalents has had in the modern era (ie post-relaunch of the women's Tour).

Very happy for that to be the case, especially with the calendar spot next year. Will be easier to follow closely, and worthy of it.

I just hope that in won't make it even more difficult to postpone the Giro by a week or two in a few years.

If Gaia Realini returns to form, this could be a route for her, although she could also easily lose it in one of the trickier descents.

With a Finestre/Sestriere combo you could of course argue that an MTT is overkill and that it would have been better to have had a flatter ITT instead, but since the race hasn't had an uphill time trial since 2021 I still welcome the change/return to roots.

They actually go through Viggiano again, I thought they'd make the stage substantially easier than that.

A loop in the beginning of the Blockhaus stage, making the stage more than 240 km. Good.

Saint-Barthélémy from the same side as it's only inclusion before, I had thought they would have done it in the opposite direction.

RCS literally reading cyclingnews forum and suddenly making stages over 240 just when Red Rick is posting about fresh legs creating more action when it's just about the MTF anyway

It is so obviously missing a big, non-MTF-centric mountain stage somewhere between Blockhaus and Piani di Pezze. As has been the standard from 2022 onwards, they are a few changes away from having a very good route, but the missing parts/bad decisions are important enough for the end result to be rather mediocre.
