any news about the first 3 stages in Bulgaria? route/asphalt condition, etc?
All I read is some conflicting info.
Some people say that most of the roads they go through are repaired and in nice conditions, some other people say that, especially around the mid-stage climb on stage 2 and the climb on stage 3, nothing much has been done and things are not great.
There were some reports on some replacing/repairing on the cobbles close to the finale on stage 2.
I can ask questions for more details, but I think it's rather technical uphill finale with some cobbles.

One of these years, RCS will publish the Garibaldi at a preview writer-friendly time. Sadly, this is still not the year.

It feels a bit late in the process to still be improvising. Hopefully everything will be ready on time.

Uno-X has the team ready for their debut Giro performance.

Johannes Kulset for GC
Erlend Blikra for sprints
Sakarias Koller Löland
Andreas Leknessund
Ådne Holter
Martin Tjötta
Fredrik Dversnes Lavik
Markus Hoelgaard

Expect the team to be in the breakaways almost every day possible. The stated goal is a stage win and a top 10 finish for Kulset. There are reports however that Kulset has had health issues leading up to the Giro with going on antibiotics and missing some altitude training so perhaps a top 10 is too much to hope for but there is nothing wrong with setting the goals high.

no idea if this is meant to be a public link, but all maps and details are up here now at least. Will edit it out after a like:

RCS has also uploaded an entry list meanwhile, dated April 23 (so still with Almeida, for example):

This aligns with the early rumors for the Uno-X team as well where William Lbume Levy was scheduled to ride. So likely an early prelim team registration.

Those are also on the official site already, right? The main things I'm looking for from the roadbook are the KOM list and the maps of the final kilometre (which are different from the ones already on the site), didn't see those in your link unfortunately.

But I also just realised I'm an idiot who forgot to check the LaFlammeRouge roadbook repository, and lo and behold they've gotten hold of a copy.

Wouldn't Leknessund be their GC guy, especially if Kulset is sick?

Despite his earlier top-10 finish, he isn't really a high mountain climber. Not at the level of Kulset at least. Perhaps if it turns out that he is stronger that he will evolve into the leader but the plan at the start of the season was for Kulset to target the Giro.

Can't believe Vingegaard will just win this uncontested. Has there ever been such a weak field in the Giro?
