Anyone notice how far back he got shelled?

He moved back up again. This stage may not suit him, but it's unlikely he'll lose time.

However, as I've been saying since the Giro started: I don't believe he can hold great form from the classics to the last day of the Giro. it can't be done. He'll run out of gas before then.

don't know the distance, but he got dropped pretty early.

Not pointless, he has shown the world he's got a big pair. I don't even like the guy but he's animating the race.

And once again, it's clear Mollema really deserves the white jersey in this race. Oh well, if he keeps going this way he'll still get it.

edit: appearently Pinotti has blown, he is riding '30 behind in a group with Kruijswijck

If he was just testing where his legs are at this point in time, and if a decent Tour showing in the mountains is his real aim, I'd be pleased if I was him with what just happened.

The run in today could be very interesting. I'm assuming liqui gas will have at least two guys. Will Vino and Evans have any team mates? Will anyone work with either of them?
