Check last years Tour ITT at Annecy. Andy Schleck was faster. Contrast with Evans. He needs the time to be safe assuming Evans matches him tomorrow on the Zoncolan. Nibali in theory will lose well over a minute on Cadel in a chrono. Unless the rumours are true and Michele has brewed him a special concoction and Vincenzo has grown miles in a year.

One time trial? seriously? You're saying a guy with good power and a good TT position sucks at Time trials, the discipline where he has his best results, based on a single stage?

Ok then. Since you're going with that one time trial, then Ignatiev is a chrono god.
Hey, he was just behind Cancellara and way ahead of a lot of the world's best that day. Surely he must be awesome.

Didn't think Nibali sucked in the chrono. Must check.

Of course. But Nibali needs more time to be safe. Evans is too much of a threat. 40 seconds plus the winning bonus won't cut it.

Yes he needs some time, but what are the gaps between Nibali and groupe Evans and Vino? Someone?

You are obviously basing that assumption on last year's Tour.Nibali is a very, very good trialist.

Yes and no. By that measure Kreuziger is good. Some 6 or 7 day stage race is not a GT. Both have yet to nail a GT chrono.

Basso gets a nice rest during the last part of this stage. That has to be good for Sunday.

I will not hear a bad word about Rai's cycling coverage. Best in the world, in my humble opinion.
Not even close, no. Often unclear what the hell is going on. Too many switches, etc..

Best coverage is Belgian.

40 seconds to Evans and Scarponi with Vino an additional minute back.

You mean other than having 4 top 10s in GT time trials before 25 years of age.

(EDIT: And that's just Nibali)

so why isnt he accused of wheelsucking then.....

Because he has a teammate up front. The most basic of all cycling tactics. If he did the slightest bit of work he'd be rightly crucified as a complete moron.

he will win tomorrow imo.
he looked comfortable on the Grappa, and should reap the benefits from the ride he is getting at the moment.

but of course completelty irrelevant to worry too much about times between two guys who started the day about 12 minutes back
