Yeah what was the deal with that? Soft pedalling, possibly? If so, that's some hardcore soft pedalling.

Scarponi got a second from Basso, Evans, Arroyo, 6 from Sastre, 9 from Cunego and Pinotti with his sprint. It was worthwhile, really.

Wiggins in a group 6:06 back, but he's free from the GC now anyway.

I think lampre may have been driving in the peloton to reduce the gap, because efimkin was
threatening to overtake cunego in the gc? Don't know if cunego really cares that much about being in the top 10, but by the time Lampre started riding on the front, they certainly weren't going to catch anyone. Marzano I don't know. Maybe they thought hondo the sprinter was going to blow up anyway, or maybe he just wanted to win himself..
