Capecchi with ease.

Well done by the young man. Is this Liqui's first stage this Giro?

Yes.

HTC
Lampre
Androni
Rabo
Movistar
OPL
Farnese
Saxo
AG2R
Euskatel
and now Liqui have a stage win.

On top of that Aqua and Astana are likely to get away with a jersey and Garmin held the leaders jersey for 2 days.

THats 14 out of 22 teams going home happy and weve got 3 stages to make it more (Menchov or Purito a stage win)

Why the hell did they wait for the sprint with Capecchi?

Seeldraeyers probably didn't know the guy like the Belgian commentators, they didn't have a clue that Capecchi is pretty fast normally.

They knew he won before against Modolo but couldn´t put 1 and 2 together

he said on RAI that he did a mistake with not attacking earlier and that Capecchi was the deserved winner because he'd have been the best on the climbs as well

Beat your boy on the Tourmalet:D
My boy too but he broke his wrist that day not 17 days earlier

You mean the climb where he wheelsucked the entire climb and attacked in the final KM? Yeah fantastic achievement :D Still lost time in the mountains to him overall in the tour (even before the ITT) :D

moment of the week was when Kruijswijk answered an attack by Contador when Machado was long and gone already :p

oh u just didn't <_<

i will give it to you tho your boy made machado look like an amateur.

i can see machado become one of those guys that never peaks at the right time, he just doesn't know when he has to take it easy like on the giro di trentino he was there attacking scarponi and all that while nibali was being dropped like a stone everywhere and look at the results now. . . scarponi was good at trentino as well but scarponi has a lot more experience and physical capacities then machado.

oh well i have been criticized on portuguese forums for saying that machado needs to grow up know how when he should or should not work and he needs to learn how to freaking peak at the right time. he is prolly the biggest disappointment of the giro for this forum . . .

on his first volta he finished 47th and on his second he was already on the top 10 so i hope he learned his lesson here and performs well at the vuelta. so ya after derailing for 3 weeks the machado express is ready to departure again on a high speed trip to spain :p

where he'll have the honor of domestiquing for a bald, middle-aged, self-proclaimed second best climber in the world :p

Even in the Volta, Tiago was often falling off the back of the true GC men during the bigger climbs, and let's face it, the sometimes terrible weather at the Giro is probably something he's never had to face over such a long race before. Also, he is terrible for wasting energy on unnecessary (but entertaining) attacks or going into the red chasing people down then blowing up spectacularly when he'd be better served letting them go and then going at his own pace.

We should remember, however, this is his first GT, while Kruijswijk did last year's (getting in a few break of the day situations too I recall). Never underestimate the importance of experience in that situation - not everybody can be Andy Schleck.
