CN's race preview said it all, "Basso use to destroy his rivals on climbs like this in 2006"

What happened back then? He got caught doping. I'd go as far to say it is a fact Basso is doping again, you can't do the same as you did doping when your no longer on the sauce.

Go to the clinic for crying out loud. This is an embarassment to Australian's the carrying on from you about so and so is doping because my man Evans can't hang on.

It really is no wonder the drug culture is so inbred into this sport, someone mentions it and you all say shhhh! keep it quiet!

They may as well make it legal with the pathetic attitude you all have.

We only want you to shut up because it's the wrong place to talk about it. Your post has been reported since you can't figure out how to use this forum correctly.

I'm so loving this Giro.

And usually we go on about ho certain riders have been disappointing. Love what Vino is showing, love the heart that Evans has shown (he's dropping back now to where I expected him, but we are in, what, stage 19 before he showed a crack?), impressed with Arroyo, Been loving Nibali and Basso. Even Mollema has been a revelation to me.

So that leaves Sastre as just about the only underperforming duck in this pond.

Giro once again setting a though act for the Tour to follow for entertainment value. And for once, I am hopeful the Tour will actually deliver.

2010 has been a cracking year so far.

davis 123: It was decided by the owners of this board, that doping can only be discussed in the clinic. You might agree with this approach or not (I don't like it myself). But to post here, you should respect the rules of the board. That's really all everybody is saying.

Basso is strong, but in 2006 there would be about 5 hours between him and Scarponi now.
You just can't handle the fact Evans is being destroyed.

Arroyo may well catch Evans at this rate. The shame.

I think that that's Evans' problem. He's not a natural mountain goat, but on the basis of his grit and strength can 'climb above his means' and seriously dip into the red. The problem is is that in the steeper Italian climbs that tactic is harder than on the slightly gentler French climbs.
