When has Wiggins ever won - or even placed on the podium - of a GT time trial (excluding this year's prologue)? Speaking of this year's prologue, I'm puzzled as to how he even won it. Losing all that mass and most likely some power, would not help in a pancake flat prologue which he has almost always sucked at in the past. If he were not an Anglophone, he wouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Basso or Evans.

Evans FTW.

in terms of placing on a gt tt top 3, tour stage 1 last year, giro last stage last year, technically albi 07 (vino and kasheschkin(sp) both since positive from that race).

Wiggins. He's been saving himself for this for a week now. Would be a massive disappointment for him if despite that he still wasn't able to take it.

i agree wiggins time trial has always been very over-rated due to his pursuit background in annecy last year he really did badly, hes normally a better bet than millar but he beat him so i think his power to wieght has really suffered
this is all about form though at the end of 3 weeks and evans showed yesterday that he really is in good form, vino as well

but scarponi and nibali will really be putting everything into earning 3rd so i can see one of them rounding out a vino/evans podium

vino and pinotti worked too hard yesterday. evans and nibali have most motivation and the legs. ignatiev is the freshest and so is wiggins but with bigger engine. so,

evans
wiggins
vino
ignatiev
nibali
pinotti

Well, the climb certainly isn't in his favour.
4% suits most power riders.

he specifically singled out this itt in his blog..as he's done 2 years ago but missed by a whisker (was it to pinotti if i recall right).

we'll see. this prediction game is only half serious anyway and if it was mathematically accurate, we'd have no fun.

I wouldn't call his Annecy effort "bad", half a minute off Spartacus after going 100% for two weeks. He was better than anyone currently in Italy over the Monaco course which is similar to what we have today.

G. E. Larsson is a good bet at 25/1

he won the most selective epic stage 270km or whatever

Unfortunately it means little to his supporters who want him to get that elusive overall victory.

A memorable stage win, a hat-trick of 2nds and points winner. 4th-5th on GC isn't dismal either.

But it is season over now, will be lucky to have a competitive day left in him.

TV coverage of the Giro

I have been watching a lot of the Giro on Eurosport, they are an ignorant bunch. Yesterday they changed the schedules around so that we missed the climb of Gavia. This is not an unusual occurence, they are useless.
The reason for my message is to ask for advice on viewing future races via my computer, can anyone help me, please? I live in Spain, would prefer English commentary but any language would be better that Harmon and Kelly.
I would love to be able to tell Eurosport just where they can put their programme.

Does Scarponi have a chance to take 2 seconds on Nibali and make the podium? I hope they show split times, because the end of this stage could be dramatic, especially if trains.

I just scribbled down some numbers, and if Scarponi at least holds onto 4th in the GC, Androni Gio Cattoli should pass Radio Shack in the UCI rankings Monday.

Waiting for a railway crossing would make it quite unfair, don't you think? ;)
