As exciting as this is, I find it ridiculous that the Giro seems to be trying to kill off as many competitors as possible before we hit the mountains. Why would you focus on the Giro in 2011 if you know you'll need a lot of luck to make it to week two unscathed?

There is one more steep section before the finish, right after they get back on to the tarmac. If any of these leading group want to get away that is the place to attack.

The more I watch Cadel, the more I like him. He is riding more like a champion and less like a wanna-be. Really great race today.
