Too bad Kloden wasn't there, he could of had another win in the bag ;)

But seriously, good win for Samu and good for EE that they finally seem to be underway. Just in time for Pais Vasco too!

Nice for Samu! Good to see the Hes-Jay in the top five, hopefully he'll be even better in the Ardennes.

Awesome news! Wish I could have seen it.

Does anyone know if Sammy is planning on doing the Ardennes this year? I missed him being there last year and last I heard he hadn't decided for 2011.

Madrazo looked really strong at the Tirreno-Adriatico as well. Could be quite an exciting rider in Ardennes-type races.

Now this is my kind of race. I pretty much like every rider in the top 10, some more than others. Madrazo's started to show what he has, and Kolobnev in his traditional spot. Samu comes good round about the usual time Euskaltel roll into form.

Ángel had been down as Classics filler but looks like he and Pasamontes are swapping so Madrazo can do País Vasco. It's the kind of race he ought to show well at.

Nice to see Wegmann in form too, I think he's an underrated rider and certainly my favourite on the not-particularly-likable Leopard team.

Yep.

Yeah, he will, as will Anton.

I trust you because you know everything about EE, though i did get the impression that Samu was basically copying his 2010 season this year and hoping that this time he doesnt break his wrist for the 2 most important days of the Tour.

Best he could've done without that crash was third anyway.

Yeah, and 3rd and 4th are basically the same thing. Wait no, they're not. But hey, if you feel like having that discussion again...

Biciciclismo mentioned it a few days ago. Too lazy to look it up for you, sorry :p

You can also expect Astarloza participating in the Vuelta in an orange kit by the way.

Doesn't really have big aims huh.

A cyclist of his capability should have a real classic as his main aim for the season. Or a GT other than the Tour(tour and Vuelta seems a reasonable combo)

Getting third place is nice and all, but how about winning.

Well one of the top guys he expected to beat him when he made the comment might not be there, and in recent years, coming second in the Tour has become a method for winning it.
