Where should the next Grand Depart be after Utrecht 2015?

If Quintana wins the Tour, Colombia!

Otherwise, New Jersey!

Maybe Saint Pierre and Miquelon!

Voted Germany because after this year it ought to. And could spend three days going from the Polish border across all Germany, through Berlin and into Eastern France IMO

Send me my cheque Prudomme!

Maybe Libertine Seguros could educate us about those climbs East of Berlin too! ;)

I agree !!!

If F1 can do it why not !!!

Think it is a great idea but us Europeans need to stop spending money on *** football (soccer) players.

USA, Oregon to be specific. :D

Realistically though, it depends entirely on the route the depart town would be able to offer. A Belgian cobbled climb type stage would be cool IMO. Colombia would also be good.

Realistically could we ever see a grand depart In somewhere like USA? It would take some organising logistically, perhaps 2 rest days with the long transfer back over to France.

I honestly do not see any reason why we couldn't see a Grand Depart in the States. Of course it would be on the East Coast initially. But yeh, two rest days afterwards and back to France.

No problem.

A $30 million cheque made payable to the ASO would do it. No doubt about that!!

With two in a row outside France, I think it should be inside the country that time. Then in 2017 outside again. Germany sounds good for that.

Considering the places where TdF has started within the France recently, maybe some place in the middle of the France could be good change, allowing early stages in the Massif. Limoges/Clermont-Ferrand?

Most certainly time for a French start in 2016. If not, then ASO should send a big F you to the German sports media and start with a simple opening ITT long enough for Martin to destroy and a couple of flat sprint stages for Kittel to rip up before they enter France.

Should get some coverage then....

It should start in France again. They shouldn't start abroad every year.

Germany would be good somewhere in the future. Hopefully it would contribute to restoring cycling in Germany. Start with TT in Berlin for Tony. Then a 200km+ sprint stage crossing through the middle of Germany with some bumps along the road for Degenkolb. And finally a stage with a difficult finale in the Schwarzwald for Herklotz. Hopefully that would boost cycling in Germany and it would certainly provide a very entertaining opening. :)

Germany.

Cycling in Germany might get some kick with the last results of Martin, Kittel, Degenkolb and Depart in 2016 can help to increase the popularity there.

Let ´s be honest cycling needs the money, lot of money and Germany is only country that has them.

Denmark. Make it happen!

In all seriousness though; voted France. Agree with the other who's been posting that it would be somewhat weird to have the Grand Depart be outside of France three years in a row. After all; it's called Tour de France not Tour de How-Many-Different-Places-Can-We-Have-The-Grand-Depart.

For USA, I've always thought they should start it on Friday when that's July 4 (like this year), so they have an extra travel day going back.

As for route--Boston local on Friday 4th, transition stage (to Portland, ME maybe) on Saturday 5th, and Mt. Washington on Sunday 6th. If you're coming all the way to the US, make it worth it.

I want France for all the reasons listed above, but I voted for Switzerland, where customs are diligent. We might lose half of the teams before the race even starts :D

Oh, really.

Almaty would be far better, with a stage 2 MTF at Shymbulak ski station (21km, 6%).

A classic! I'm still laughing!:D:D:D:D
