Greatest races performances?

I searched through the polls and thread titles, but didn't find anything like this. Hard to believe. I'm looking for opinions on the single greatest race performances either based on physical effort or tactics. Can be single or multi-day events.

The '64 TdF comes to mind. As does '89.

Obviously all answers are opinions. Be kind.
