Greg LeMond Poster

I know a lot of GL fans like that famous photo of Greg winning the 1989 World's that was turned into a poster, which is now long out of print:

300

Well, a place in Salt Lake City has several for sale. Here is their Ebay store:

BikeWagon's Store.

I have nothing to do with this company, zip, zero, nada in case anyone is curious or wonders if I'm spamming. :)

LeMond Posters

I have 2 posters of Greg up on the walls at work
Yes, I am such a FanBoy:)

This first one is an illustration drawn by James Fiorentino:

This second one is a six foot Life-Sized SpeedPlay Poster
Greg is squishing Lance's head instead of holding a pedal:)
(the bottom of the poster has his foot on Floyd's head teehee)

First poster is very nice.

I have always been a Greg fanboy, I started following pro cycling during his era:)

Of course I feel he is coo coo bananas off the bike.

+1. I feel he may have been one of the greatest talents in cycling. Too bad about his accident and illness. I'm sure he had 5 TDF wins in him if not more.

That Fiorentino poster is awesome. I guess you are a fanboy!

Greg contradicted himself a few times on 87 & 88, once saying Roche and Delgado were worthy winners in their own right and not to take anything away from them. And in other times saying he would have won those years. He's also said he maybe should have gone for it in 85 when in the break with Roche, though that doesn't mean he would have won then (or left him with a team for 1986!). And then of course there's the onset of EPO that ended his career.

I'm happy saying he won 3 Tours, and 2 Worlds in impressive fashion. His career was what it was. Incredible, tragic, exciting, unjust, inspiring.

Back in 90 or 91 my LBS had a poster of Lemond during the final time trial of the 89 tour. The shot was taken just after he rounded the final corner on the Champs-Elysees. He was out of his saddle and gritting his teeth. I always wanted that poster in my room. :D

I have that print - framed and signed. Want an 80Meg .jpeg in CMYK?

Giro gave those out for free after the Tour. One of the all time great shots in cycling and now you can rarely find it.
