Cobblestoned is a merchant banker of the highest order and enjoys flaunting it in the clinic at every opportunity.

My hunch is Cobblestoned is trying to get the license for LIESTRONG in Germany.

Not a word from Greg Lemond. I would have expected at least one media outlet to talk to him for comments.
I don't see what they could ask him...

Q: Did you know about Armstrong taking EPO?
A: Yep

Q: Why didn't you say a thing?
A: I did.

Q: Did you know about donations to UCI?
A: I did.

Q: Why didn't you say a thing?
A: I did.

(...)

Not exactly very thrilling...

he doesn't need to say anything now. He said it 10 years ago and everyone in the media (exceptions were Walsh Kimmage, Balelstre and a few others who got shouted down.) buried their hand in the sand. They saw Armstrong as some golden goose whereas LeMond called him what he is a gigantic fraud.

Who is going to go crawling back to LeMond with their tale between their legs to hear him say, well i told y'all 10 years ago.

Another thing LeMond had said a few years back that I recall: (paraphrasing).was that the UCI was corrupt and should be replaced. IIRC, Pat had some lame reply. Seems like LeMond knew more then than most did at the time RE: the UCI. Hopefully the mainstream are catching up.

On a humorous note and as a possible sign of hope in this vein: I received a call today at work from a former co-worker who is a non-cycling fan and probably represents “mainstream America” as much as anyone. She had watched the 60 Minutes broadcast regarding TH. She called me and when I answered the phone, he reply was “Lance Armstrong is a total scumbag”. I chuckled because I learned that she thought I naturally would be defending him since I am a cyclist. She came out swinging expecting me to try and defend him. I proceeded to set her straight on my own stance and fill her in on many of the other tidbits of the history of LA that were not mentioned in the broadcast. Kind of funny what people assume about cyclists, but hopefully the tide is turning. I had another co-worker sum up the situation like this “seems like a case of he-said/she-said to me, but where there’s smoke, there’s fire?” I find these small comments from the mainstream different from what I have heard in the past and am encouraged by them. Maybe the tide is finally turning.

By the way, the intentionally irritating poster on this thread that needs no introduction promised to leave the clinic a few months ago in another thread. Most of us probably knew that this would not actually happen. Predictable, yet sad…
