Aileen Schweikart? Yes.
She moved to Mallorca in 2019 to teach German to school kids. She bought a bike in order to explore the island and gain new friends. She had to return to Germany during the pandemic where she completed her bachelor in sports science, but moved back to the island afterwards. Under the guidance of former rider and ironman athlete Antonio Colom, she began to train more and eventually received a contract offer from Bizkaia Durango halfway through 2021.
Given her late start and her solid performances in the Giro, she could be an interesting prospect in the coming years. Her surname is also perfect for a cyclist, because it makes you think of a two-wheeled go-kart. I think her middle name is Nicole.
