Relatives who rode as well? Yes (whether they rode as well is open to discussion)
Relatives competed in winter sports as well? No (as far as I am aware)

(Relatives who also rode!)

Did her son recently quit cycling in order to focus on art?
And is she Connie Carpenter-Phinney?

I did think of Connie, but we have had her on at least a couple of occasions before, and she isn't called Esteban Chaves.

If it isn't Connie, then Bonnie Blair? She had a short-lived cycling career, and was speedskating at the time when they gave out somethinig akin to a rainbow jersey at the worlds.

It is Connie: Sorry I didn't remember her having cropped up before.
Did her husband ans son ride "as well" as her? Objectively, yes, as the essence of road racing if pace sustained over a distance, but arguably not as successfully.

And the asterisk on Rainbow jersey was because she had a track world championship, but the Games forum is a subsection of the Road forum, so in the context of road racing, no.

I was quite thrown by Sir Fly's question about being selected for a GT: is any woman's race, current or historical, considered a GT? The Giro Donne/Rosa comes close, some editions of the Tour Feminin may have... Or did SF simply not notice the first answer in the list?

Anyhoo...

Just to be absolutely clear; I did not mean to ask if she has relatives that were as successful as her; I simply meant to ask if she has relatives who also rode!
