I was gonna go with the first ever Colombian pro, Giovanni Jimenez Ocampo, but that doesn't seem to fit the years active.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant the seventies in my opinion started in 1971 and ended in 1980. :p

Giovanni started in 1968 and stopped in 1979. He's really a mystery to me. The first Colombian to turn pro but uncharacteristic of most Colombians, he raced on cobbled races in Belgium. First to Colombian to ever finish the Tour of Flanders and first to race the Tour of Spain though not finishing it.

That's him.

As you can see RHD, in 2014 he still had hair. :D

Right, I misunderstood that. Jimenez has an interesting story. Have to admit I hadn't heard about him until I researched for the answer.

I can now be hit with questions.
