I haven't been able to find pictures of him, so I don't know if the height of 1.51 provided by PCS is correct or not. During the 1910 he violated the rules of the Desgrange invented competition, where you weren't allowed to get any kind of help during the race, so you could show individual strength, by eating some of the food meant for other riders. He was then punished by Desgrange by being disqualified from receiving any prizes. He still managed to finish 21st out of the 41 finishers (yes, I'm totally quoting French Wikipedia here).
