In that case, I have no notion of who this could possibly be, and will have to leave it to others to fathom it out.

Yeah, I'm definitely a little confused too.

You know what? The rest fits, so I'm gonna make the guess:

Magnus Bäckstedt? (even though the transliterated version of his name is totally an anagram of "bad magnets stuck".)

I have failed to find any authoritative source for the proper transliteration of the Swedish alphabet, the nearest being this: https://www.riksdagen.se/sv/webb-tv/video/motion/maskinlasning-av-svenska-pass_gl02ju225/

Ur svensk synpunkt är de två nedre raderna ett problem i standarden. På dessa två rader tillåts bara bokstäverna A–Z. Detta betyder att bokstäverna Å, Ä och Ö måste "translittereras", dvs skrivas på annat sätt. Hittills har skrivningarna AA, AE och OE använts.

It was indeed a quite frightening place to be, which was why I decided to get the round over with as fast as possible. I don't have a visa, so I couldn't have stayed in the US for much longer either.
