If you said Mark Cavendish, you are right!
Those are the claims Mark made in an interview promoting his book (the name of which escapes me).
According to Mark, he could not have accomplished his achievements if he raced during the "dark era" that included Lance Armstrong -- whom he said was "very good to me." He simply could not have weaved his way through traffic on his way to a TdF win if his competitors were on the juice. He forgets to mention the part that he was competing at the same time.
Mark is asked during the interview if cycling has moved beyond the dark past. His reply: "Uh, yeah!" Reason being is the UCI spends the "money, time and effort to catch the cheats." That's all it takes, folks! Rest assured the UCI is doing it!
Best part of the interview is witnessing the passive aggression between Mark and the football guy on the panel. They're taking shots at one another throughout -- e.g. talking trash about how football players need three days between a game while the true warriors mount their steed the next day. Enjoy!

What a clown, how many guys got busted in 2008 alone? Also Petacchi was still a top sprinter in Cavs early years, and he was mid 30s at that point. Hushovd, Freire, McEwen, Zabel, Dean, Hunter, Cooke, Boonen all raced though the Armstrong years and were still up there in the Cav era. Were they doping then as well.

It takes a certain amount of hubris to create teams like Highroad and Sky on the notion that all the riders are clean, when pretty much anyone paying attention knows that was not the case.
It's a great marketing ploy that just goes to show no one really cares who is riding PED-free. It's fun to pretend!
