Hematocrit test

Have you ever had your hematocrit tested?

I did and it was 46. Do you think that is a reasonable number? Does it really matter?

I had minde done a few years ago as part of an annual physical (I asked for it, it wasn't part of the normal workup).

Mine was 43% but the doc said that hematocrit was so effected by hydration that, in his view, it was somewhat meaningless.

Just my experience...

Are you worried that you might be ill? Or worried about failing a drug test?

If not, then what the hell do you care what your HCT is?
