Thought may as well make a post for this little race seeing as though it's the first time Aus has ever got a pretty decent international line up for a one day race.

Should be interesting to see how certain riders are going as Bunninyong is a tough circuit but the heat should not be a factor.

Heat wont be a factor so far we have not seen the sun out for weeks clod winds are the call they forcast 20 deg today but it never got over 15 deg

Ballarat or bunniyoung is always colder than Melbourne so its cold up there
also.

The guys will need winter gear.

Nations it looks like. I dont see why teams would send all their stuff (equipment, staff etc) to Australia for this tiny little race.

ANd it looks like Italy are sending the cavalry. 18 riders. Jees. Do they know their only allowed 9 for the worlds + to for the tt:p

I think so too. They're riding in their usual kit though.

I believe they are racing as nations, but they are not allowed to wear national jerseys (must wear team jerseys) for no apparent reason (stupid UCI).

As for the large teams, remeber that this race if both elite and U23, so some countries that have the full 9 riders in elite and U23 and are bringing all their riders to this classic would have 18 riders.

It is a shame that Ruth Corset went down today at ballarat. She injured her hand and is uncertain starter for the worlds. Hopefully she can get up as she is a big chance to get a strong result for Australia.

great to see such big crowds watching the warm up event.
