This is just too good!

Toms Skujins' win Tuesday during stage 3 of the Tour of California caught nearly everyone at the race by surprise, maybe none more than his Hincapie Racing teammates, who expressed their disbelief – and joy – when they crossed the finish line several minutes later and first heard the news.

The 23-year-old Latvian attacked his breakaway companions on the slopes of Mt. Hamilton and then held off the chasing peloton for 55km to take the biggest win of his career, earning the race leader's yellow jersey and the mountains jersey in the process.

"I can't believe he stayed away," LottoNL-Jumbo team leader Robert Gesink told Cyclingnews...

No, I can't believe it either - not without a tour bus to sleep in. Must be Nutella, or vegetable juice, or something.

To refresh everyone's memories (as if necessary) as to what a fit and proper person good old George is to run a professional racing team:

Indeed.

He should in no way shape or form be influencing up and coming riders.

Absolutely agree! It is outrageous that the name Hincapie is on the jerseys of a pro cycling team. Notice the early mention of Chris Carmichael with Chris´s assistant giving George his first injection? Interesting and not a little amazing how successful they still all are within US cycling.

They've had their scapegoat and now it is all over and done with. Every one else in cycling is perfectly ok and good to go as they are all clean and have learnt their lessons.
so any doping now is because the youngsters are hungry and lacking morals and any type of social code; because the old guard have all learnt their lessons and wouldn't be stupid to go down that road again.

In U.S. cycling, down is up. Thom Wiesel loves these winners. So does the UCI. They are credited with "growing the sport in the U.S." So, it makes perfect sense to grant them the privilege of influencing young riders.
