That's not a particularly noticeable altitude? If anything, drag resistance is diminished.
Maybe because it was quite stretched out instead of a single hill, but the average is still high compared to similar profiles throughout the season. He is in great form early or got even better at time trialing. Last option would make sense since he said he wanted to put more effort in it and get to the level of Ganna/Tarling.

Lol, I completely misunderstood your point.

So Plapp is still dogged by the new years hangover.
Good to see the Aussie ITT distance creeping up a bit yoy.
V$ne will likely have a handful of jerseys to choose from this year methinks.

You may be half right with Plapp and a hangover. he needs to be more professional off the bike. Think he forgets he is an elite athlete.

So, turns out Max is showing the TDU, but... possibly not in English. (Or Danish)

This is the description for the women's race:
"Élő közvetítés az év első női World Tour versenyéről, az Ausztráliában zajló Tour Down Under 1. szakaszáról"

And this is the description for the men's race:
"Das Auftaktrennen der Tour Down Under führt die Männer durch Adelaide (3,6km)."

there never is German commentary for Tour Down Under, so this is likely just an incorrect race description. Should be in in English, as normal.

Well, it wasn't available (at least not in Denmark) on Max last year.
And before that I just watched on TV2, with Danish commentating.

Well, that's a relief, because while I might have been able to understand German commentating, I wouldn't be able to understand Polish - or whatever that language is - in the middle of the night.
Not that I understand Polish during the day...

Why isn't wearing Alpecin colours?
Can't be because the kit hasn't been announced yet. They - well... mostly Vandeputte - has already been wearing it in CX.
Unless that kit isn't actually the official new (road) kit...
I'd guess he left Europe before it was ready, and no one else from Alpecin has arrived in Australia yet to bring some new kits

I think they sometimes just have abberations in the website, like the time my index presented itself in Finnish

For me on Swedish Max, the descriptions are in English.

And my Norwegian Max doesn't have TDU listed. First cycling race on the schedule is womens' Mallorca challenge on 24th of January. So I might have to actually watch the TDU live if I want to watch it.

If it's not listed for you, how are you going to watch it?

BTW, when would you people recommed getting up?
It's listed as starting at 1:30 each day, but that might be a bit early...

Tiz, but I've never had much success watching replays/VODs there, so getting up way too early seems like the best option.

VODs are for me the only thing actually still working there. Just takes a while sometimes before he makes them public.

Live is a pain in the ass since their new player

Perhaps VPN works with Max? Never tried it myself.

Danish Max didn't have it listed before today, either, I don't think, so maintain the hope.
