Why is one of my all time favorite cyclists, Oscar Sevilla suspected or anyone else riding in Columbia? Is it age, ability, or some jealous politics of cycling?

Not anymore my dear amigo BroDeal babyface is still young and can still make history.

it is not cheating until you get caught. remember that italian guy at the olimpic games; how about basso; al jet and lampre company; how about levi lepheimer and LA; just because you have been mediocre does not mean you are clean. the bigger cycling is in a country the dirtier it becomes competition levels are raised and you need to get an edge somehow.

As dirty as all the rest

First Valverde, Contador, and now Mosquera. What is this country doing to their cyclists and is it worse then what other cycling federations are doing?

Some non-Spanish dopers:

Armstrong, Riis, Landis, Hamilton, Basso, Ullrich, etc...

Probably there just seem to be a lot of Spanish dopers because a lot of professional cyclists are Spanish.

Nothing to see here.

So, Fuentes has admitted to doping athletes (including athletics, tennis, and cycling). Has been caught twice by the authorities. Has threatened to reveal the "heroes" that he doped. Then the Spanish authorities do nothing to him. He is allowed to continue doping athletes.

Add in the interference by the Spanish President (and others) in the Contador case. The obvious special treatment Contador got from the RFEC. The lies told by Lissavezky (that only cyclists were involved in the "Fuentes list"). The cover up of the Fuentes list by the Spanish Judiciary. The number of Spanish athletes caught doping. The number of Spanish athletes having suspicious circumstances around them. The number of suspicious "sports doctors" in Spain.

Nah. The "golden age of Spanish sports" is perfectly legitimate.

None of them have legally tested positive. Therefore they are innocent. Bad examples.

sad but true.

Is Operation Galgo still running? Wasn't Fuentes involved?
How for man's sake can he be up and working for a football club now?

This new media-attention for Fuentes sounds like bad news for Real, Barca and Aldirto, i.e. for all those who would have loved Operation Puerto to blow over quietly.

i suspect the culture of doping is strong in these countries, even at amateur level. the reason they aren't front and centre stage is the performances of their top pros has been so awful recently. quite encouraging?!
Yeah they only won 3 out of 5 monuments in 2009.

Lol.

Valv is currently serving a 2 year ban. Legally as approved by CAS:) and i hope if Contador hasn't proved anything in his case apart from he is Spanish he'll get his ban.;)

Manolo Sainz speaking about Fuentes ability to motivate riders while in ONCE.

Also two quotes from the director of the Spanish Anti Doping Agency

"desde 2004-2005, en España se han hecho 47 operaciones policiales y en Francia el año pasado se hizo una, y porque la información la pasó la Guardia Civil española"
>>"Since 2004-2005, in Spain there were 47 police operations and in France, the last year there were only one, and because the spanish Civil Police was providing the info"

"en esas 47 operaciones policiales se ha detenido a 544 personas y han quedado imputadas 22 más" a la espera de que "se cierre la instrucción de dos operaciones que están en marcha"
>>"In these 47 police operations there were 544 arrested and another 22 imputed persons, apart from the two active operations"

Wow, Manolo Saiz. How hypocritical can you be?
...said the Cantabrian DS in a round-table discussion called "Doping, a tumour to be removed"
he [Saiz] announced he is "thinking of making a comeback" to pro cycling
As for doping, he [Saiz] thinks it's "unethical"
"When you're at the top for a long time, doping is certainly not the foundation. Doping would be the foundation for all those athletes who are at the top for a short length of time, who only succeed for some months or a couple of years"
Oh yeah? Like Isidro Nozal or José Antonio Redondo?

"Cuando se está un periodo largo en lo más alto, desde luego la base no es el mundo del 'doping'. El 'doping' será base en todos aquellos deportista que están en un periodo muy corto de tiempo en lo más alto, que nada más triunfan durante unos meses o un par de años",

Oh yeah? Like Isidro Nozal or José Antonio Redondo?
That's funny because that was exactly what the Texan used to say.

This is where Luis De Moral can be founding plying his trade:

http://www.imedep.com/index_esp.htm

As can be seen on the home page, it's backed by the Valencia Municipal Sports Foundation and it's located in the Petxina municipal sports facilities. Right in front of the city's athletics track and headquarters to the provincial council's athletics team "Valencia Terra i Mar".

Spanish sport is clean as a whistle......
