He would have been the best Astana's rider in the mountains, close to Quintana and about like Froome, but no GC contender.
We'll see at the Vuelta, hopefully. There's a time trial long enough to put the pressure on him if he's free to ride for own ambitions.
How is it possible that the second best climber of a gt with only a little bit more than 10 km's of ITT is not a gc contender
He'd have lost in the time trials, wind, cobbles, probably in a random stage, as well.
Similar destiny to Pinot, Bardet, Talansky, Yates'...
C'mon, thats pure speculation. There is no reason why it would be so likely that landa would have lost much time there. TTT and cross wind is mostly about the team, on the cobbles hardly anyone had problems and I really don't see a reason why he should have lost much time in a random stage.
That's equally valid prediction as mine.

If I understand this comment correctly it would mean that landa actually would be a gc contender because its possible that he doesn't loose any time in the TT`s, wind or cobble stages. (And even if you loose time there you can still be a gc contender.)

Depends on quantity.

As of now, Landa is a one-hit wonder. Let's wait and see if he confirms his talent elsewhere.

I think he's overhyped, and would have had a Tour similar to Bardet and Pinot.

How you can compare him with such a loosers
Bardet and Pinot did good tour last year, this year they were way to weak then Landa

IMHO Landa is making mistake going to sky, he could have better personal ambitions then be a domestique, and also I do not think that SKY style is siuted for Spanish or Italian riders (for that they are using non thinking programable riderd mostly from UK), even Nieve could be better in different team
