How Doped are the U23/Junior Fields?

Given the following:

UCI championships have had doping positives in the U23's. Recently, the 2010 CX first and second place were both official positives. Going waay back, in the 90's juniors and espoirs were dying of heart attacks. This shows kids have access to doping programs.

Development teams are run by the same organizations with extensive doping records. No, I don't believe the history of doping positives are done by lone riders who do all of the figuring out about where to go and what to do.

I look at Taylor Phinney's latest win and wonder how many (including him) are doped in his race.

Phinney won't be doped, but he will be doing "legal juice".

Cancellara did legal juice in P-R with that performance, Lance has been doing it for years, hence the negative tests & great performances, Sagan in the sprints, list is endless.

Knowledge is power, comes down to the riders who have the best stacks.

No need to dope, good performances can come via nutritional supplementation that is legal within the UCI & WADA.

And I for one would want them banned sooner rather than later.

These products are getting more & more advanced by there release. Its not a level playing field. The funniest thing is... Nobody is even caring about them. I CANNOT believe it.

More needs to be done by UCI & WADA to ban certain nutritional supplements which studies/companies have shown increase performance.

Knowledge is power.

The guys pioneering the sport have the "knowledge".

Lance, Cancellara, Sagan...

Have you read all the messages on here. Each one has EPO in its body.

Old news.

I can't post pictures of products there probably using, but some of them outperform EPO according to my training & power outputs.

People are blind.

When EPO is gone & dusted, its still going to be an unlevel playing field.

I promise you.

More needs to be done by UCI & WADA to ban certain nutritional supplements which studies/companies have shown increase performance.

THESE NEED BANNING!. UCI/WADA, BAN THESE PLEASE

If you want to clean up the sport.

Do you want a clean sport? A level playing field?.

Only when the UCI & WADA start looking at what effects these products have on the CNS & muscular systems will we ever begin to clean up the sport. These need to be eradicated from the sport sooner rather than later.

Until the supplementation I mention doesn't see a ban & be eradicated from cycling, we can't build it up again new.

Keep going on about EPO, the suspect performances, speculation & the negative testing.

Lance did dope, I know that for a fact, just not EPO hence the negative testings and great power outputs.

Also...

Superoxide dismutase (http://www.answers.com/topic/superoxide-dismutase)

Indium
Carnitine
Pyruvate
D-Ribose
GABA (gamma-amminobutryic acid)
Results: At rest, GABA ingestion elevated both irGH and ifGH compared with placebo. Specifically, peak concentrations of both hormones were elevated by about 400%, and the area under the curve (AUC) was elevated by about 375% (P < 0.05). Resistance exercise (EX-P) elevated time-point (15-60 min) irGH and ifGH concentrations compared with rest (P < 0.05). The combination of GABA and resistance exercise (EX-GABA) also elevated the peak, AUC, and the 15- to 60-min time-point irGH and ifGH responses compared with resting conditions (P < 0.05). Additionally, 200% greater irGH (P < 0.01) and 175% greater ifGH (P < 0.05) concentrations were observed in the EX-GABA than in the EX-P condition, 30 min after ingestion. GABA ingestion did not alter the irGH to ifGH ratio, and, under all conditions, ifGH represented approximately 50% of irGH.

I want a clean sport. Lance has remained "clean".

No wait a minute.

I found some of these products had a bigger influence on my overall performance & power outputs than EPO.

Its like this.

Any rider supplementing these products over the riders that aren't, may as well pack up & go home because the advantage is huge.

Full stop.
