What would have happened in the final TT if there were no radios and the riders had to do it all by themselves? I think I remember reading that Contador was calmer or more relaxed because of the information he was getting over the radio.

If there were no team radios then the pack of fire trucks that went by on the other side of the road in last years Tour would have turned out pretty interesting.
