I can't find my leg warmers

Am I the only one having trouble keeping track of all these clothes and things we wear winter riding? Only one friggn shoe cover this morning too. I don't even think DZNutz works below 50 f

Believe me you arent alone. I think of all the kit i own and i only find my thermals when i don't need them.
Today strong winds a little morning chill, i had to use three jersey's cause i couldnt find any of my jackets. Thankfully i found some tights because despite getting sponsors leg warmers in addition to purchasing new ones i can only ever find the ones that the elastic is shot and after 5 miles i look like i am auditioning for flash dance as they flop around my sidi's.

I kept losing things for a while after I got married. I'd look for things where I left them: on the floor, in the corridor, draped over chairs etc but they were never there. It was only when I went to look in my cupboard for something else that I would find them neatly folded and often cleaned.

I still haven't worked out how that happens.

My wife has never really liked me cycling and keeps going on about me creating work but I try to explain I just do it for fun, it's not really work at all.

I think she's just concerned that I overdo it, which is nice.

Anyway, have a look in your cupboards or draws.

As for the OP, yeah, I'm feeling you. Every year I lose one knit wool glove over the summer. Every year. Just one. So then I buy a new pair and get rid of the orphaned glove.

same problem here. wear a shirt on the bike one day, and because i know im wearing it the next day i put it over a chair. By the following day its vanished and has ended up in the wardrobe (despite cycling gear being kept in the kitchen cupboard), not cleaned mind you.

Strangely this is a one sided house rule, which is why at last count there were four school bags on the front room floor, 3 handbags and about 6 hats and five pairs of gloves on the kitchen workbench.

This is the first season I have worn out a pair of warmers. November to now like every ride here in socal. wtf with this weather. enough already. looked outside this morning to a cold mist..it just ain't worth it sometimes

Had to go digging in the cycling clothes box.... finally found one pair, but they are just about blown too..... Warm in the village, go 10km out near the lake, damned "frost hollow", and freezing my a**e off:-(

The year I arrived in Boulder (1985) I'd be out walking in snowstorms by the end of September. It was in the mid-80s today.

At least we've been getting more rainfall in the summer lately.

I also arrived in Boulder in 1985.

The last two of my rides I left the house with a vest and arm warmers...peeled them before I even finished my pre-ride espresso. It has been too darn hot for me..I like the 60s or cooler for riding..

I admire anyone who can ride sans vest and warmers under 55 degrees. I did I suppose when I was younger. Friends show up to the AM ride bibs and jersey at that temp and I have arm/knee warmers and a vest

my body just doesn't warm up to a level of performance for reasons I am not qualified to suppose

different body types I guess.

Oh I still wear vest, warmers etc...but I like it when you need those articles as its cool....I feel more alive with energy when the temps drop.
I'm old too...

Try training here in Aus during our "winter". Where I am in Brisbane it can get below 10 C in the morning but still get over 20 C during the day. If you leave for a longer training ride with too much on you can end up coming home looking like the Michelin Man with armwarmers, kneewarmers, vest, long gloves etc, etc, stuffed into your pockets.

Just found one leg warmer, both shoe covers and 2 vests in my sons stuff

apparently the leg warmer and shoe covers make good lego camps. the vests he could not explain.

Have stubbornly decided that summer is here now (despite the evidence outside the window) so was packing all my cold weather gear up in a fit of optimism. What is betting none of it will be in the bag at the bottom of the cupboard in 6 months time.

My wife no longer moves any of my bike gear. she learnt the hard way that tidying up results in swearing and crashing around the bedroom at 5 am and now leaves it in the lounge. She did complain when i started hanging my shorts on the chairs to dry, while we had visitors, who were sat in the chairs at the time. Apparently that is where the line is.

No drunk, I had those flashback issues cos drugs abuse when younger.
I was trying to say that I can not take off (or on) arm warmers while riding a bike, got it?
