I like Specialized stuff but there always seems to be some little problem.

Mitts this time

Last set of Specialized mitts I got fell to bits in a month. But these are a different design so I was hopeful. But this time they have a subtle design flaw.

Return them - Specialized is great for replacing or refunding items (at least through their authorized dealers).

I've been quite happy with their BG gel gloves.

Interesting user name...you don't happen to be any relation to the previous Specialized distributor in Australia known to punters as "Avanti-Specialized"? Perhaps just an Italophile?

Ive hever had a drivers license. Im 34
I rode PBP in 51:30. Unsupported. I buy products that go the distance. When it comes to gloves, instead of getting warranty, I just stitch em up. Its not like your sticky taping up a carbon steerer or something. ;)

These are some TUFF branded gloves. Ive riden about 30 000miles on em.

I need some gloves for PBP. I don't have time for them to fix the design flaw, make them, ship them from China and then remember to send me a replacement pair! PBP is in two weeks!

So I've smoothed off the rough edges on the stamped holes with some fine grade emery paper. They seem comfortable enough now. This has probably damaged the fabric near the holes but I think they will be ok....

Won't washing them a few times do the thing, or are the edges effectively melted plastic?

Would have posted earlier but I was weak from the manly musk coming off Durian Rider's post.
