Training KOMs really don´t tell anything.
They're harder to do in competition, with the wear of the days.
By the way, I saw that yesterday on Instagram. People on Isola are posting videos and photos of Pogacar and commenting on these things.

Definitely it's more difficult to perform during a long race. But if the difference is big (vs already an outstanding performance) it means something. Then again, obviously the credibility of this info is questionable.

I am a prophet for saying Pog will demolish the TdF.

Look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair.
Listen idiots I have word from source on the ground that Bastien Tronchon has a new coach and is doing intervals behind a bike as well as training in hot weather, he was average in Dauphine as part of a tactic and has been specifically targeting stage 2 of le tour where he will be 15% better than his competition, you can bookmark this post and if he doesn't win i will delete my myspace account.

So has Pogacar just obliterated Isola's record? (which was superb)
Scary stuff (if believable).

Yea very exciting news if true.

Though obviously we should take into account that stage 19 was at the end of the TdF, after 3 weeks of intense racing, and the end of a long stage.
If he set it after a warm up and with a perfect train, obviously it is not really comparable.

Come on... he's got Wellens, Narvaez, Sivakov and Almeida next to him.
Lets not kid ourselves. Anyone of those guys would have given him a gel in the next 100m if Pogacar needed or asked for one.
Yep, this. Also, I can't believe anyone would really expect Pog to get a 30 second gap on a stage like yesterday.

It would be very possible without a very strong Vingegaard to be honest. Pogacar gained 11 seconds on the climb. Both behind were even more cooked than him.

They weren't cooked behind him. They paced themselves to not blow up. Evenepoel was already closing it before Pogacar stopped riding.

Remco was completely cooked. For a reason he lost 3 seconds yesterday. They came back because Vingegaard didn't cooperate with Pogacar.

He lost 3 seconds because he tried to attack later. Since he had the strength to attack, he clearly wasn't cooked. Not saying he would've closed the gap to Pogacar. Saying Pogacar wouldn't have taken 30s.

This reminds me some people saying WVA, Mads and MVP could close the gap after the Paterberg and they lost 40 seconds on a headwind against Pogacar. And they were really cooperating despite being cooked.
Remco got greedy yesterday, he is a beast on flat terrain and Almeida closed the gap pretty quickly. This tell us a lot about Remco's legs at that point.
