What if Valverde went to the tour as a stage hunter without looking for GC?

I think that he could win 3 or 4 stages if he really went for it.

You could I suppose apply this thread to any good one day racer. I think Valverde is a genuine GT contender if he gets a bit of good luck. He's had misfortune more than once in a GT. where as a rider like Martin for instance is not going to win a GT over 3 weeks but capable of winning a few stages.

what's with the "this should be in the such and such thread" i've seen twice today,it's nice to see fresh threads that can run a while instead of expecting people to just go into gargantuan threads that just feel like continuations of years old stuff.

More than missfortune he has had quite a few bad days!
