Colnago C59 or EPQ (formerly the EPS)

I don't care what y'all gotta say about Colnago being a status bike for people out of my tax bracket, they are the finest racing bikes money can buy for the last almost 60 years.

Agreed, my friend's Colnago Master X Light is hands down the best overall bike I have ever ridden (haven't ridden a C59/50 though).

Out of the pro bikes I'd have to go with the new Super Six Evo - but only for racing.

Is internal shifter cable routing the rage because of DI2? I guess no one wants to zip tie those cables to the frame.

although neither have been mentioned i want....

euskaltel Orbea and fdj Lapierre

it'd be hard to turn down a colnago though.

i also don't know why chinese manufacturing would be inferior to manufacturing anywhere else in the world. design yes but manufacturing probably not.
amoungst my friends, the us has the worst reputation for manufacturing quality. i don't think i know anyone who owns (or would buy) an american made car.

Oh really? Have you ever ridden a Parlee or Calfee? Have you ever owned a Phil Wood, Alchemy, or King hub set? list goes on and on of extremely high quality made bicycles and equipment made in the US. Your friends need a spanking for giving you seriously misleading information. :p

It is true that our crappy auto industry has damaged the U.S's manufacturing reputation, but as you point out that does not extend to bikes. The U.S. has the most vibrant custom frame business in the world. The custom steel, titanium, and carbon biz in America is second to none.

I still want a Peg, though.

My Ford was made in Mexico, so was my VW. I sure wouldn't buy a Chinese car..reminds me of a Yugo or Zill.

Nope cuz it's cheaper to make, like most stuff 'bikes' then painted as some sort of performance 'advantage'. Easier to make a hole than a cable stop.

The first thought that popped into my head when I read the subject line was "Movistar." But when I gave it a few seconds, I changed my mind to Wiggo's British Champs Pinarello.

Been to China lately? Yes, they produce all sorts of low-end tat marketed towards penny pinchers (or simply those of little means), and merrily cut quality corners along the way to meeting the lowest price. But if you think this reflects their technological or quality capability you would be mistaken.

Cut corners is right. How was the air and water quality when you were there?

Drink from a faucet?

i would nor defend much about china, but they have technology down. how they
did it is a whole different story. they don't have comers to cut anymore. just roundabouts. life is cheap there.as in,expendable.

Hallelujah to that.
While I have neither of those 2 Colnagos I do have 2 already. I want the Movistar Dogma with electric Super Record.

Specialized SL4 Mclaren. My SL3 rides smooth as silk, and responds like a mind reader. And it's handling is crisp and precise. I'd take a tricked out team SL4 in a heartbeat!:D
