If you were in Froome's shoes and knowing that Wiggins will be undisputed #1 rider for Sky at the TDF. Which would you rather do ?

Lead the Giro
Lead La Vuelta
Be Super Domestique at the Tour

I think go for the super domestique at the tour and if he is better I think he will have a real chance to take over the leadership there after what everyone saw at the vuelta....and then go and ride the vuelta afterwards.

It's not Froome decision, it's the Team Managment.

Other than that, if he has the Vuelta form, he is defintely going to Tour as Wiggo domesitque with, that I think is given. Would love him to lead him Giro though.

Maybe the Giro/Vuelta double would be a possible, but I'd be leaning towards build to go one step higher in Spain.

The added advantage of avoiding the Tour would be a fresh set of super-domestique legs on Froome for the Olympic RR.

He could do atleast two of the three...should do the Giro all out and then also go for the Tour Gc, Wiggins has Uran, Henao & Sioutsov as doms

no way they will let froome do il giro and came tired in le tour.

way more realistic they will test for the first time big henao in il giro,if you can win vuelta a colombia at 22,you can do big things even in your first grand tour.i'm curious if they may let even uran do il giro.

or i will be totally wrong and sky will prepare an us postal service approach to le tour with wiggins leader, froome, henao and uran fresh superdomestiques:eek: damn what a team that would be

froome should definitely super-dom the tour.

and do a contador 2009. attack on a climb, top wiggins in the itt, boss the GC and win the tour :p

Let there be drama! Having proven his worth at the Vuelta I'd arrive at the Tour ready to battle for the team's top spot-none of this super-domestique crap! His argument being he has a grand tour podium in his palmares, does this other guy?:D Team Sky becomes Team Hi Drama with Cavendish (if in fact he signs with Sky) adding to the tug of war for attention and team support. Personally in this battle of wills I'm pulling for Froome, him being the least likely to win out in the end anyway, the ultimate underdog.

In the midst of all this chaos, Henao who will be having a stellar season, takes a Tour stage in an epic solo break, that places him comfortably in the gc top 10, further building drama and stomping on fragile ego's.;)

he's proved his worth at the Vuelta- It'd be a shame to "obligate" him to do domestique duties for Wiggo when he's shown already to be stronger & more capable to assume leadership-let alone the fact he has better prospects for the future than Bradley

How about win them all? I know it wasn't an option, but why not?!?!?

Yes, it's impossible nowadays...but one could wish.:p

I'd like to see him at the Giro...a more balanced route than 2011 should suit him just nicely. Anyway, he still has to prove if he's a fluke or whatever...nothing better than the Giro to see what he may or may not achieve.

Superdomestique at the Tour is just pointless as of now...he showed he can be even superior to Wigans so meh...the guy has to prove who he is. I'd say give him the chance to be the captain at the Giro, then we'll see.

Firstly he needs to show the world that he can repeat this result. don't reach for stars just yet. Do the tour in support of Wiggins, keep the good spirit and attitude and Froome will get his moment to shine sooner or later (not that it's a forgiven conlusion that he will ever take a gt victory).

I would love for Froome to do the Giro as it it will be a balanced route. He could then do the Olympics and then have a tilt at the Vuelta and maybe have a go at the WC.

Whn will EBH and Geraint get to lead at a GT. Sky signed them as talents who can do GT's but now they end up doing sprints. EBH showed at the Dauphinie that he could be a GT rider in future and Geraint could go well as shown at Galibier. He can also ITT/ do well at Classics. Sky are not doing enough to give them leadership position at these races which is a pity. Now they also have Froome, Uran and Henao. Rogers will be back in good form next year ( ToC ) and Cavendish will be there ( finally/ probably )

I agree with those wary of the balancing act required at Sky if they have both Cav and Wigo. There is no love lost between those two.

I voted for the Giro option, however, Froome would likely select the option that offers him the most support. He won't be successful at any grand tours without his team.

All niceties aside, and all due respect to the Champion track rider that Wiggins is, they let victory slip through their fingers at the Vuelta. Such opportunities seldom appear. Wiggins has had his grand tour chances three years running now, he's not so dissimilar to A.Schleck - can't quiet get the win. At least the Schlecks helped Carlos Sastre when he positioned himself for the win. Not to say Froome would have won, just that he was not given the chance when the door opened.

Here's hoping that Froome can sort his way through the mess that's going to be the upcoming year, if they sign Cav, and throw down more performances like this years Vuelta, that was, for me, the performance of the year.

I'll go for super-dom at the Tour. Knowing the luck of Wiggans, he will probably get the chance to ride for the win himself after Wiggans crashes, bonks or gets sick. Then he should lead at the Vuelta and also have a crack at the Worlds.

They'd be silly taking Froome to the tour. better off having a chance to get some big results in two different grand tours than one result in one grand tour. Froome could do very well in the giro.

I voted Vuelta, but then i thought he should do the Giro/Vuelta double. He is clearly a talent that should not be wasted helping Wiggins try to win a race he never will (although he may have the smallest of chances if Alberto is banned, but if hes not i fear it may be a one man race). Sky have enough strong domestics to help Wiggo top 5 again.
