Vingegaard
Pellizzari
Arensman

Pellizzari has not shown any single impressive performance yet this year, but has been consistent and should have a decent TT.

Arensman must avoid loosing (too much) time in the first week. If he can refind his level from Superbagneres and La Plagne, he will podium easily. He also has to hope for cold weather. Though I must say I have not been impressed with the Ineos GC riders all year and I am starting to question whether their coaches know what they are doing.

Other candidates are Hindley (if he gets his customary Giro boost of 0.5 w/kg), Gall (probably the second best pure climber after Vingegaard) and maybe Bernal.

Also my podium, and I think Arensman is getting into shape right on time. Looked decent in Tour of Alps, if he gets a bit better podium should be fine. Like you said, he just can't lose time the first week.

i hope for more , but at this point i dont have a lot faith that the transfer to lidl will see him take the next step already this may

still a diamond in the rough
Well yes, the spring has been a complete flop to be honest. Very weird prep. I will stick to my guns with a podium prediction, but only because I refuse to back down.

Vingo's 5 stars are obvious but I wouldn't put anyone at 4 stars. The gap seems too big.

Storer way too high, Yates way too low, Eulalio I guess with a breakaway but he seems too inconsistent and I don‘t see him ahead of his leader. Other than that, at least it isn‘t 50 names and is in 1,2,3,4,5 format which isn‘t realistic, but interesting

Vingo will definitely try to win the race in training mode (he's realizing that July will be the challange, not May). On some days he will put the hammer down, on some days he will ride at lower intensity. A 3-week race is hardly a controllable environment but if performance gap vs the competition is large enough then maybe it could act as a proper training block (like it was in case of Pogacar two years ago).

My top three would be Vingegaard, Bernal, Caruso. Caruso has proven several times that he can do well in the Giro without showing much earlier in the season. And I feel from the limited racing we have seen from Bernal so far this year, that he is a stronger contender than Arensman.
