I'll be wholeheartedly supporting AG2R. Won't mind if Chaves takes it, as well.
Hoped that Kruijswijk would ride it, but not this time, unfortunately.
In terms of what will make me feel the happiest, it will be Uran winning, next it will be Purito.
In terms of who I think will win it based on form, I think Chavez and Lopez have shown they are in shape.
In terms of who I think teams are pulling for, Aru and Yates may be the protected riders over Chavez and Lopez

How much will be televised?
Eurosport will start at 15:45, probably only an hour or so of live coverage for international broadcast.
Rai will start half an hour before on Rai 3, the "pre gara" on Rai Sport i imagine it's the De Stefano talk show with Beppe Conti, Garzelli and someone else.

For sure we can't see Valcava.

So no Nairo - as I said before, he couldn't care less for the World Tour overall.
Not much point him racing with Moreno and Valverde already there. Both have way more chance of winning and have strong records at Lombardia. Having to nurse Quintana around to try to gain a pretty meaningless title would be ridiculous for all concerned.

It might me meaningless if a GT rider wins it, since it is so biased towards GTs. For a classics rider to win it it usually means that he had a freaking awesome season.

So there's that. Quintana winning it means nothing more than "the guy who was buried at the tour but managed to win the vuelta due to an overpowering team" won.

GVA, Sagan, Gilbert, Boonen, Cancellara wining it means "Guy who has been kicking ass all year long on a lot of different races and circumstances" means a lot more. Had to that the rainbow jersey, and it is time to praise the lord all mighty.

Quintana won't go because he can't do sh*t on a race like that.

It means he has no form. He probably took a big break after Vuelta, and for a guy like him it's hard to get the form in such short period. He can do sh*t on a race like this, he already did that. He was top 10 in 2012 I think, and he was also good in 2013 while working for Valverde. He did much more than everybody you mentioned except Gilbert

What is this business with really short coverages? I mean rai should show it from the get go, at least do an online webcast.

What's the weather like at the moment? Think the finale can go both ways, ie either produce good action plus attrition or the standard wait for the last bump borefest.

IMO that is the group just after Berbenno...in the next climb will be more selected.

That last bump with 3km to go is unneccesary.
From 120km until 224km to go its constantly up and down, plenty of time to make decisive attacks. That last bump will make some riders wait just for that bump.
The race is very well designed. People as Chaves, Aru, Bardet, Landa, Uran,...cant waut till Bergamo Alta againta people as Bambrilla, ulissi or Van avermaet...they haas to put that people out from far. It is a very nice climb and historic to chose the winner in a very reduced group.

The race having such a hard route coming so late in the season should mean there'll be only a very select bunch of 10-15 riders at most reaching the Bergamo Alta together, even if the hard part is raced conservatively. If that hard part is actually raced hard, even the flat section before Alta won't likely be enough for significant regroupment. It should be a spectactular race in any case.

Why is this monument taking place on a Saturday with sh*tty coverage?

Seriously, we need someone to "buy" cycling and treat these monuments like they deserve. No wonder the vast majority of the best riders aren't here.

Lombardia and San-Remo have always been on Saturday.

What do you mean with Shitty coverage. It starts in half an hour and will cover the last 90 kms..

Saturday is how it should be, it's always been like that for Giro di Lombardia historically.

Moreno Moser rides in front for several kilometers now.

The breakaway killer.

So Rosa to nip away cheekily for the wins whilst Rigo is looking in a totally different direction?
