Well, most probably for Valverde and Cadel, but certainly not for AC unless his injury affects him long term. He's shown this year to be riding at a very high level. And Valverde has always been more a one day or a one week racer than a GT rider anyway.

They've been at it the entire Tour and the mods have no issue with it, so why would they stop?

-CE has been over for a while.
-AV like previously stated is better for 1 day and 1 week stage races.
-AC still has several years of high quality GT riding in him if he continues to put in the effort. Contador is closer in age to Nibali (1 year, 11 months) than he is to Valverde (2 year, 8 months).

Though they are plenty of high quality young riders coming through.

Yea sure, if contador crashes out again which we know you pray for that every day otherwise nibali can't win

Every time a few new young riders come along its new era...But not long ago Gesink, Kreusiger, Mollema , Van Garderen , Taareme were touted as the next winners

I still haven't seen anyone with the talent of Contador, Froome, Quintana & Nibali

All the rest are a league behind
Some will improve and some won't ....One or 2 may win a Vuelata or Giro or podium on the Tour ( as Pinot has already) but no one is as exciting as Contador or Quintana IMO

People are getting carried away

depends on the parcour, but Quintna is new generation, and would put him infront of them both if we get enough hard mountain stages

There have already been plenty of rumors that there be quite a bit of ITT which generally favors Contador/Froome over Quintana. I hope there are some good mountain stages, but only the Giro knows how to do that.

At this very early stage and with the rumoured TT-heavy route that looks about right, long time between now and then though of course. I wonder what price Tejay is? if a couple of the big 4 don't line up or crash again and there is 100k of TT then he could be value.
