I find myself disliking the schlecks and Leopard more and more.
They just suck.

More than anything, I just can't see what there would be to like about that team.

It's not as though I hate the Leopard team or its individual riders, but I really can't see why anybody would care about this new project. Unless, perhaps, you're a Luxembourg nationalist.

I'm feeling more and more ambivalent about Leopard. I like every single person in Leopard-Trek except for Andy and Brice Feillu. Monfort, Gerdemann, Wegmann, Cancellara, Voight and Zaugg are even some of my favourite riders. And even Andy I don't really dislike, not as avidly as the rest of you anyway. I still prefer him over Contador and on Saxo I was actually cheering for him last year.

It's just the team management, the way they do things, the look of their jersey, their tactics... I find it hard to dislike a team with so many fun riders on it, but their management and Andy himself are sure putting up a good fight there. I just hope next year Arvesen and hopefully Voight will become DS in that team and take over communication to the press and road tactics as much as possible.

Anyway, I'll be cheering for Basso and to lesser extend Sanchez this year. Only if Andy really rides his heart out this Tour without the whining, hugging Contador and waiting for his brother to catch up I'll forgive him for riding for the least likeable team out there (barring, perhaps, Radioshack).

No more amusing, though, than the ridiculous silk scarf things that he and his cronies have round their necks on the LT website.
doesn't seem to be up anymore but, if they were pale pink, it may have been in honour of Wouter.

I assume Nygard knows something about his preparation and ability to peak for the Tour that we dont.

If I recall, similar things went down last year in the lead up to the Tour
Andy was 19 minutes down in a mountain stage in Tour de Suisse this year, tried a solo attack on another stage and couldnt bring back a second tier rider who was up the road.

But just you wait, he will be right there with Alberto pedal stroke for pedal stroke come July.

Its super cool to watch a rider peak and prepare like this.

Yeah, I just checked and none of what you recall happened last year. He finished 14th last year, 1'57" back. He finished 18th, 18'48" back this year.

Whoops! Misread your post--apologies. I do disagree that Andy's performance this year was like last year. Last year you could tell he was testing himself (putting in hard accelerations and then riding in with the main group or just off the pace). At no time did he have a 14' loss like he did this year. It may be that he forgot to eat, but I don't see it....

I wonder who BNygaard is trying to fool with his comment: not only he exposes an enormous flaw in team work & tactics when he acknowledged Andy getting bunked because he forgot to eat, but also he pretends to cover up a failure with a KoM jersey-of course he has to PR in a good way and promote his team-but he cannot cover the eyes of the world cycling community watching the ToS and noticing how pathetic Andy performed over there...

Nygaard's comments stink as much as Bruyneel citing a season goal was accomplished by winning the TDF Team Classification.

At least both entities aim for glory but gladly settle for mediocrity

Whole point of bluffing is that no one knows you're doing it. Pointless exercise, just like Team LeOpard.

I must say I was laughing my *** off when he f'd up his gears that stage, only I hated him even more when he didn't dare to attack anymore until tourmalet and was whining and complaining for months after the tour about contador attacking him because he couldn't handle his bike

well he just does his job, nothing more.

yesterday i was rewatching the stage 3 of tour de suisse 2010 won by frank schleck.hilarious moment at the finish which i didn't remember from last year, the uci chaperone was hugging with cancellara, andy and frank=)))))))))))

I just simply don't like him for many of the reasons mentioned above plus a few others. Hate is a bit too strong of a word. I definitely won't be rooting for him. Frank's alright with me for the most part. Lil bro' could learn a bit of humility from his big brother.

Even if Gesink and all dutch riders would completely fail at the Tour, it would still be the best Tour ever for me if Andy Schleck get's owned by a rider other than Contador at the Tour.
Even if it's Jurgen Vandenbroeck or Bradley Wiggins or Tony Martin. :p

you're right, hate is too strong a word... but dislike? spot on!

That is beyond hate and frankly rather sad.
