how's the first pic gonna be pre 2011? He's in a leopard shirt don't forget

i think the thickness of his nose indicates his form. The bigger the nose the better the form. You will notice he is celebrating on this pics and not on the ones with the small nose.

lol!......

WC road race performance by him today was deeply impressive, perhaps the most impressive of any rider in the race.

I agree. He was really strong. Very impressive that he managed 4th on this course and in this finish.

I actually think that he could do very well in those races that he "needs" like LBL, GdL and, of course, MSR if he focuses on them.

Yeh but that could have been Jan 2011 - i reckon he has had his nose sculpted gradually - over a year or so - they took out the bump which has obviously gone, and then they chisel the nose from inside - Jennifer Aniston did it that way - rather than a full on Janet Jackson nose job.:):)

Either way I cant be bothered trawling through all the photos to prove it - I posted some good pics for you and I aint doin anymore. He seems happy with it - he must be gutted he didnt get bronze to pose on the podium - although he,d probably have tried to get Greipel to his plastic surgeon.:)

What has this race to do with LBL or GdL?Cance is pretty explosive as demonstrated by his late surges, his motorbike attacks or outsprinting Gilbert, Pozatto, VAm at MSR.
However this isnt gonna help him holding Gilberts or Evans wheel at Cote de Saint Nicolas.

I didn't say that this race has anything to do with LBL directly, I was just stating that if he focuses on them, he could potentially do well in LBL and GdL.

He will need to lose some weight though, and I agree that he'll have a hard time on Cote de Saint Nicolas etc.

Maybe not he was riding a lot of world class hilly classics riders of his wheel in Mendrisio but he was having the form of his life.

it's funny... he had the form of his life when he won 2006roubaix.
then he had the form of his life when he won tirreno and san-remo.
then he had the form of his life at the olimpics.
then he had the form of his life at suisse and at mendrisio.
then again.. the whole 2010 was the form of his life!
in 2011, great shows and outsprinting gilbert in MSR and lots of sprinters at the worlds..

are we talking about a cyclist or a cat?

Relax I'm not even insulting Cancellara you do not have to be so defensive over him:rolleyes:
But Im sure many people will agree with me that he had the form of his life in the worlds 2009. It meant so much to him as it was in Switzerland. He absolutely blew away the competition in the TT and was the strongest in the RR. Never ever have we seen Cancellara climb like how he did in Mendriso. For Gods Sake he was one of the strongest climbers in the race. He was incredibly strong and IMO stronger than he had ever been or has been. IMO he had the form of his life in 2009 worlds, what makes you think I think that he had the form of his life in all those races you have written down:rolleyes:

What is next year's worlds RR course like? Next year is Fabian's turn..
So many things have to fall into place to win, not just superb form but the tactical aspect, weather, luck, etc. so there are some things just out of his control even if he is in the form of his life!

Spartacus will recharge and come back in the spring with renewed drive and purpose! His will to win the RR @ Worlds will only intensify...this man will not rest until he has this on his palmares.

Now, I will go study some old vs new pix and get serious about this 'nose sculpting' mystery. :)

I will say that Cancellara is past his prime, however he is such a great rider that he can still compete for the win in time trials when not at his best.

Finish is 1700 m after the top of the Cauberg, like the 2006 Tour stage and the 1998 Worlds.
Thank God it's not right on the top, they could as well give Gilbert the jersey then.
I think it'll be a very good race, and Cancellara has a good chance.

With almost 2 km after the hill there's at least a possibility of someone coming back.
Gilbert may not be as cannibalistic next year. Of course, he may also be even more cannibalistic.

I went off Spartacus last year, a bit because he was too strong (but not much, the attack on the Mur was the best bit of 2010), but because of the Tour LBLish stage nonsense.

He should leave Leopard-Meh and go to a DS who respects him as one of the world's best and ride for himself and not waste time looking out for riders who will not take the pain as often as is needed to be as good as he is.

PS 4th in the RR, he is far from finished. He has just got bored of winning TTs. Maybe 2011 was his lose weight and suck for a year season, like Wiggo last year. If he comes back next year as strong as Wiggo did this year, then Gilbert needs to look out.
