Factor Bikes, the team’s long-term equipment supplier, has ended its partnership with the team, according to Daniel Benson’s Cycling Substack. Official details remain scarce, but Scott Bikes have reportedly already arrived at the team’s headquarters in Girona, Spain.

While the report says that Scott bikes have already arrived at headquarters, it is unclear whether or not Scott Bikes will serve as a lead sponsor or as an equipment supplier.

last time Scott was lead sponsor of a team it was Scott-AmericanBeef in 2008 (Saunier Duval)

For those of us who know nothing about these things, how do Scott bikes (TT and regular) rank in comparison to Factor and the bikes that the other WT teams use?

not an expert either, but Mieke Kröger still races her ten year old Scott TT bike, saying it's the best she ever got. So at least in that regard, they seem to have some know how. Guys like Arensman, Edmondson, Eeckhoff etc also used to have better TT results during their Scott years at DSM.

So NSN (Never Say Never) will be the main (name)sponsor of the team.

It's the entertainment company of Andres Iniesta. A company that's been in some legal trouble lately if I'm correct.

The press release also says NSN bought the license (meaning they bought the team or the company behind the team I guess), so Adams is probably actually gone. There's also something about Stoneweg investing big (but If I understand it correctly they already were involved with the team).

The shift marks a clean break from the previous era. Former team owner Sylvan Adams exits completely, allowing the new management structure, led by Kjell Carlström, to define a new sporting direction.

no Israel name, no Israel symbols, Adams gone.

yes, the protests worked. but now is time to let them race and not bother them anymore (and yet...)

I guess that means that they will also not give Oded Kogut a new contract, to remove all links to Israel. Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Not so sure about that. All three of the current Israeli riders have reposted the NSN "story" on instagram, as have a couple of the devo riders.

Tbh though Koggy is worthy of a WT contract, no matter his nationality. Not in the top echelon of course, but as a C-tier sprinter or the third sprinter in a team, whichever way you want to think of it.

@Armchair Cyclist Time for that new thread title?

Marca has edited its article. It now lists all three as staying with the team

Interesting to see what this might mean for Derek Gee.

New owners might cut him some slack and find a normal agreement with with him (as in a fair settlement, not 30M lol). I don't think he can undo breaking his contract (unless he signs a new one but don't see that happening).
