It's a forum. We use sentence fragments, abbreviations, acronyms we make up on the fly and other devices we probably would never use in a paper or something more formal. There's no need to go around correcting people's spelling or grammar, particularly if your goal is simply to belittle someone.
Fwiw, I think Arnout's intent was good and I'm glad he started the thread. He could have responded to an individual who misspelled it in a condescending way as some posters might have done.
I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I've actually been a fan of the team for awhile and have never noticed there was an 'l' in the middle of the word, probably because it comes right before the 't' and blends in a bit.
While I sometimes shudder a bit when I see horrible spelling or grammar, it is a forum, and an international one at that. You just have to let it go.
While we're on the subject, when I saw someone write "whinging" in a post I used to think it was a typo and the person was trying to type "whining" but I've since come to the conclusion that they are just British and American versions of the same word. Question: do you pronounce the first part of the word like you would "wing" or is the 'g' silent?
