Schachmann survived the hardest climb of the race. He can come back several times after being dropped.
The final 50k and but one of the KOMs on tomorrow's stage are the same as the 2023/24 versions and the only one that is different (Gorla versus Karabieta) is quite similar in terms of difficulty. Marginal differences.

Seems rather silly that none of the GC riders tried to go with Laurance, even if you don't get anything out of it it's hardly a big effort required.

I don't think anything is a gimme except Almeida winning if it's dry.

But then fatigue does a number and Skjelmose dropped 12s on Izua, came back and then dropped like 40s on a 4% climb right after.

Great stage design wasted by the big guns. Couldn't even try to make it hard for Almeida after he was cut from the group.
Unfortunately I don't see anything special happening tomorrow, easier route than usual (yes, it's quite easier), the only differential could be the rain
