Great ride, proper 19 rage there and what descending style, jeeezz!

But not the chosen one by far, just yet. Needs a GT. Still I dunno is TdF wise? Could clean handful of weeklongs this year. Liege going to be something with this kid. Get him to the Vuelta and Lombardia..

Fatigue might have played a role, but for a rider with Del Toro’s potential—especially at a team like UAE—it’s not a great look.

I think people often underestimate how costly poor positioning can be until it really comes back to hurt you. On top of that, he spent a lot of energy chasing down Lipo on his own, and then the group started hesitating—pulling, then not pulling. It turned into a mess. At times, he seems unsure tactically and could benefit from clearer guidance.

It didn’t help that he eventually got dropped, but the underlying tactical issues are still valid.
People are often in bad position because of fatigue. It all works together. It's a hell of a lot easier to be at the front all the time when you feel fantastic.

People are always like, "Why isn't he on the front?". He's freaking tired, that's why! He's trying to catch some draft for a while and hoping the attack doesn't come at the wrong time, 'cause he's not going to be able to respond.

The ceaseless, harsh tactical critiques often seem to miss the most important factor. Fatigue or lack thereof.

How many days has Del Toro raced since the end of the 2025 Giro d'Italia? Last year, he was among those who raced the most days in the peloton in his second professional year. This year he must be among those who raced the most as well.

if he was so fatigued , do you think he spent his energy well on the climb ?

The GC gaps are insane. Imagine this kid with better domestiques.
God damn!
Today Decathlon was the strongest team.McNulty, Del Toro´s last domestique, was dropped by Decathlon's third domestique. Performance matters, not name. In UAE Tour, Decathlon was the strongest team, but Felix Gall faltered.

You talk as if they're having Picnic´s performance.

Congratulations to Paul Seixas for winning the stage in an impressive fashion.

Rogla and Lipo superb tactically and i really enjoyed it. As a cherry on top a mini stomp done by Rogla at the end of the stage for the fans. So it's in between the oldest and the youngest now and lets see on how that one pans out.

I didn't see Vauquelin's crash either. Just saw it reported on social media. Don't know if he's hurt
Vauquelin did crash indeed, but doesn't sound like it's the reason for his time loss. He just felt empty in general, also on Monday already, despite finishing 2nd. He first thought it could be due to the heat, but nutrition is a possible reason as well.

Vauquelin has always been inconsistent. Vauquelin, Onley, Enric Mas in Itzulia... Almeida's 2025 season is the proof of how can it be inflated a trophy haul and overrating a season by choosing the right schedule avoiding top rivals.
