I suggest Purito after that 1 km explosion and horrible time trial. Also just in case we forget the little cigar. Too bad Im not a moderater anymore!

Sosa said today that he is going to Lavenir later this year. Imagine his coach telling him "please don't crash and everything else will be OK"

Also imagine already having won on legendary climbs such as Lagunas de Neila and Passo Giau.

It's really amazing how the hype for the Colombians jumps in the last 10 years.. Duarte, Uran, then Henao, Quintana/Betancur, Chavez, Lopez, Bernal, now Sosa...

I'd say that Sosa's results this season justify some hype.

FYI Sosa has been regarded as "equal" in talent as Egan Bernal by all the cycling community in Colombia. I only hope & pray SKY stay away from him :D

I'm not saying anything bad. Actually all of them produced (at some point) results that justified the hype. I was referring to the amazing count of climbing talents (at some point) that Columbia has lately.

Not only climbing talents.. Gaviria, Hodeg show Colombia have sprinters as well.

I'm now waiting for the next Botero (time trial/stage racer) and the first colombian Cobble Classic king

Well, I agree with Gaviria and Hodeg, but still they are just two. While the (some of them supposed to be) top-notch climbing talent Columbia produced is amazing.. I mean.. I cant say any other country produced that many top-class climbers lately.
Hats off to Sosa.. we may have a nice Colombian battle in the future Sosa-Bernal. Just hope both of them develop to the promises they give.

Yes, Purito it is. :D Reminded me of all the Contador-Purito duels in the 2012 Vuelta.
Yeah, good catch. He has a similar kick to him, and that classic grimpeur pushing-off-against-the-road pedalling style. Meanwhile Egan reminds me a bit more of a Contador, although I don't know if he'll ever be an elite time-trialist like Alberto was. Hopefully we'll see similar battles down the road (more like up the road, really), although there's still a ways to go for both of them.

The way he attacks the final kilometre of a climb also reminds me a little of vintage Dan Martin from his wins in Catalunya, Valenciana etc, maybe even his recent TdF win, although that was not on a mountain, so to speak. He also escaped this way so many times a few Dauphines ago, scored a podium as a result. Just so explosive no one could match, not even Froome and co. Sosa is so talented, this is the first time I have had the chance to see him on TV, looking forward to following him over the next years.

Better than bernal climbing wise
How do you know?
That is impossible to know at this moment. He might have developed early. That's all. If you want Sosa to put higher than 6.2 watts/kg then we have a problem.

Ivan isn't exactly all that ecstatic about Innsbruck.

He's going to Innsbruck, but it's yet to be decided in which category he'll start. U23 very likely though. Italian classics later in the year also a goal.

What do you mean which category?
There is no chance for him going with the older category.

Those aren't my words, they're his. It was a translation.

Weird story going on right now. Sosa has changed agents, from Paolo Alberatti to Giuseppe Acquadro, who is also an agent to tons of other Colombians. Acquadro is now trying to get him to Sky instead of Trek, since the contract with Trek was never signed by Sosa himself.

However, in my personal opinion, I think Acquadro is just trying to get some more money out of Trek, rather than trying to move him.

Acquadro is slowly becoming the Raiola of cycling isn't he?
