Nothing in that indicates that Ullrich admitted to using blood doping, it was solely a line of reasoning put forth by his lawyers. Few, if any factual things can be inferred from legal reasoning

I don't speak French but to hell with that!

Werner claimed in 2006 that Jan Ullrich had paid Dr Fuentes €35 000 for the acquisition of doping means. As his defense, Jan Ullrich argued that "Blood doping is not drug use; if anything, it's an unauthorized practice"

So he doesn't say it's not doping, he says there were no drugs involved so Werner was technically wrong. Or something like that.

Bad written article.

Background is the judgement from last week.
This was just an argument of Ullrich´s lawyer in this confusing trial.

It was all about the details of Franke´s statement.

2 years about 35.000, or 34.999, or perhaps 35.001 or whatever
and another year "for dopingproducts" or own blood, or enriched blood.

The story is from the other day when he lost the lawsuit. Cyclismag presents stories with a bit of sarcastic humor, so the headline basically says that it's legal to say Ullrich doped with Fuentes. Here's the Google Translation:

To say that Jan Ullrich is among dopait Fuentes Legal

The Hamburg court acquitted, on appeal, Dr. Werner Franke as part of the complaint for defamation filed by Jan Ullrich doping specialist cons. Werner Franke said in 2006 that Jan Ullrich had paid 35,000 euros in one year to Dr. Fuentes for the acquisition of doping methods. In his defense, Jan Ullrich has argued that "blood doping is not a drug use but, at best, an unauthorized method."
The defensive line of Jan Ullrich, who had won at trial, was increasingly difficult to maintain since Rudi Pevenage, his mentor, acknowledged he was taking his own foal at Fuentes.

Jan was hospitalised this week due to his condition. It has been diagnosed as 'pfeiffersche Drüsenfieber' which I think is like Epstein-Barr-Virus. Jan is still in hospital. He's not well. Its a worrying situation.

As someone who has dealt with mental health issues myself, I didn't for one second underestimate the burn out statement issued (unlike some on here) However, this condition is far more serious. I hope the best for him. :(

True, and more commonly known as Pfeiffer's glandular fever, Pfeiffer's disease, or infectious mononucleosis. I'm sure there are some other names.

Thanks hog, for another demonstration of how "good" your sources for the BIG news are. This one was not really funny and because of that you will be the first person on my ignorelist. Proud of that ?

So, now time again for the I-believe-in-hog people, who still didn´t learn anything.
