Realistic that they will be denied by some sort of discretionary judgement, whilst they appear to have met everything required for a WT license?

Ok maybe realistic given the UCI, but it would be an unfortunate decision which would seem to be completely out of GreenEdge's hands.

Unless there's something you know which we don't, some criteria which Green Edge failed to meet.

I just can´t see the UCI turning away the licence money they receive.

I think the GreenEdge riders have been asked not to post twitter pictures. They write about the camp and kms ridden but still no pictures

I don't know exactly what they wouldn't be allowed to post pictures of, though, since they'd all still be in their 2011 team's gear.

maybe they are trying the 2012 gear: skinsuits, TTbikes, new helmets and shoes (Mouris was wearing Scott shoes at NSW criteriums)

For the record, I think anybody who wears a skinsuit in a road race should get a two year ban.

Is that because you are a traditionalist and you like to have things not changed in cycling?

If thinking skinsuits in road races are stupid and look dreadful is being a traditionalist, then yes, I'm a traditionalist.

They're not skinsuits, they are speed suits.

And you are right, a ban would be an appropriate deterrent. It's time road racers realised that they are and made an effort to look the part instead of looking like *** heads.

Are you starting to see the GE GT plan evolving now. Get the team established while we wait for Cadel to move across from BMC. He will want to escape after the SUPER team implodes. Gilbert and GVA already and more to follow.
Although that is tongue in cheek, I am a little concerned for the great harmony that was in the BMC team for Cadel as there are a LOT of ego's now in the red and black...hmmm.

I can't see any clashes in these egos though, maybe GVA will feel crowded out.
I think GE will establish a different identity when there are australians worthy of shifting it. The best australian talents at the moment are sprinters and timetrialists, I suppose that adds up to the team they've ended up with. When a young rider, Porte is probably the only possible(note not probable) right now, shows the ability to win one of the more important stage races, we may see the complexion of the team change.

The UCI had no issue with banning skin suits for DH so why not road racing?

Confirmed as WT

About as strong as Euskaltel and about a millionth as interesting, but they'll get plenty of points. Never underestimate the amount of points available to 2nd- and 3rd-tier sprinters, and those are GreenEdge's stock-in-trade.

I think the goal posts may have been shifted with the RS-LEO merger.
Originally, it was a 4 year deal, same as Sky.
Now they say:

As for the rest, who knows with the UCI?
Financial guarantees, or maybe just the size of the brown envelope.
