Starting to seriously (after many years) getting back on the bike again, sorely missed it. Would like some advice.
I live in a place with cool but not cold winters (45-65 degrees), and summers in the 60-80s, not very humid. Winter is the raining season.

I have ordered a castelli perfetto convertible jacket, and am looking for suggestions for jerseys during winter/spring days where it isn't rainy or very cold. I tried to buy an Entrata 2 from Castelli but I am 6'1", 218 lbs, with a 35 inch chest and only 3XLs would be a fit. Can't find a place on the net that has it in 3XL.

I ride between 4-5 hours at a time, usually a lot of climbing and am exerting myself in these climbs, so breatheability and sweat removal is important.

Thanks

I would check out https://www.elielcycling.com/ USA company that makes the stuff here. Quality is AMAZING, I wish I had found it earlier, its middle of the road price wise but not a rip off like Rapha or Assos and rivals it for sure. I am quite picky and cheap.

Having used every major brand of cycling gear through all seasons I can say with the utmost certainty that I've never felt "ripped off" by any Rapha or Assos gear I've ever purchased. In fact this time of year I'm using a 7 year old Rapha softshell that still performs as if new. I don't see any real winter gear on the Eliel site... Oh right, the California bubble, oops.

For the cold, I have to agree with MWC and BK - Rapha and Assos make the best winter gear, although Castelli also has a few nice pieces like the Gabba jersey. It's pricey and some may call you a brand snob but it's great stuff that lasts. For super hot Australian summers there's different brands that I prefer though.

For a more budget focused alternative, try DHB. They have a big range and great value.

EtxeOndo has a wide range of clothing that is very high quality at a little more reasonable price. Their designs are distinctive so may not be to everyone's liking but they aren't over the top so you should be able find something that you like.

Rapha and Assos have made the gear I consider to be the best value ofr money of any I've ridden in. I've been riding for 40 years (and boy, am I tired;))

I agree with Rapha and Assos. You really do get what you pay for. Castelli has some beautiful fabrics but the sizing is just too bizarre for me. I am 6'1' and weigh 165 but the stufff still don't fit me right.

I have Assos bibs and they really are nicer than my Castelli or LG bibs. I buy them through the outlet.
