I say wear it and wear it with pride. It doesn't matter what jersey you wear even the World Champ Jersey, that's why they sell it! So you any of you can wear it, if somebody really confuses you for the World Champ or Sammy Sanchez in the EE jersey just see it as an opportunity to have a nice chat with somebody out on the road.

Next thing people will be saying I can't wear fruit of the loom underwear because Jordan is the spokesman...

Well until there's an official law against it, wear it all man! True fans do not discriminate against a jersey, non-fans and the real posers won't wear it for fear of who knows what, maybe aliens coming down and taking them away, who knows. As I tell all within ear shot, riding like when you were a kid and just have fun, if you're that serious about it that you impose rules against fun then you're just doing it wrong.

I always break out the Mapei Jersey (shorts ripped already) the first weekend of the Giro!

The only jerseys I hold sacred are the National (of my country) and World jerseys because I have a chance (in hell!) of wearing them due to my effort and have friends who wear them because they earned them.

As a woman I've no chance of ever winning a yellow jersey so I'd consider wearing one if someone gave it to me (although maybe not on bunch rides where I'd loose credibility). In winter I wear the Pro Tour leaders jacket because it is white so I'm really easy to see in the dark. I've also wanted the swiss jersey for a while but that's because I'm a Cancellara fan.

I wonder if other sports have a problem with this? Football fans wear "their" teams colors I don't have a problem with people wearing Pro kit of wearing pokadot, Yellow, Pink or WC or national team colors. Unless you are trying to pretend that you are one of those things but I'm sure no one will be fooled.

I have an Orbea and it is orange I'm thinking I will have to get an EE orange jursey now but to be honest I'm more of an Italian fan then a Spanish/Basque fan. But I love all cycling so it's all good

Wearing the jersey of the team you want to support is not like wearing an award jersey. Would you wear an imitation SuperBowl ring?

I think wearing a team kit is no big deal but 'award' jerseys should be on the back of the guy that won it, only, IMO.

what is the big issue? If the Quick Step, EE, Slience Lotto etc... teams did not want people getting around in team (including world champ strips) jerseys on, then they would not invest money into producing them. The only people who i believe have an issue are people who think they are as good as the pro riders, yet are not. If you like it, then ride, if not then hold your tongue.
