Yes, he can win, but is he and the whole team determined to fully commit to that for the next 6 stages.
By a decent margin, unlikely, unless the others capitulate.
1 semi-fail. 5 to go. Not much time to get the troops in line. Or you settle for, hopefully, a stage win in the TT.

We don't know if he is far from Remco. Remco is not reliable in the mountains. Roglic didn't have the best preparation for the Tour so there is a chance.
I agree, the Remco that turned up last year is a different proposition to the one riding at the Dauphine. Almeida would obviously smash him in current form.

The shape he is in now and the shape Remco and Roglic in is I would gess Almeida could get podium. But Rogla and Remco will be better than now once Tdf starts.

He was like this or better last year in Swisse and he finished very far from evenepoel.

Roglic is also a level above in normal conditions.

Nevertheless, i like the fact he is being more offensive now. Nice ride.
I think he's been at a higher level than last year, all year so far.

Pretty surprising to me. He's never really shown the top gear he's been showing this year.

He hasn't really had any real outlier performances, he's just been beating up the weaker fields in the WT like he's supposed to.

Even Switserland should be a sleepwalk after dropping 3 minutes in that first stage.

You don't know this. What does he have to do to show he is in better shape compared to last year?
Today's stage was very impressive, no one expected this.

Sorry but he beat Jonas twice. This is impressive IMO. Even an average Vingegaard is better than everyone else bar Pogacar.
In previous years, João never delivered performances like we saw in Pais Vasco even against 2nd or 3rd tier GC riders. He is descending a lot better, better positioning, better kick. I can see a lot of improvements.

Yeah, no. An average Vingegaard wasn't better than Bardet. An average Vingegaard was barely better than Lenny and Skjelmose.

He almost never had a chance to lead the team against 2nd or 3rd tier compensation.
He had it in Tour de Suisse last year and he delivered.
